What is a Pilates workout like?
Fun and very mindful, equipment classes are taught on the Pilates Reformer, Wunda Chair, Tower, Trapeze Table, and the Barrels. Spring-based resistance provides the feedback, support, and challenge, without high impact. By changing the position of the body and the spring tension, each student is able to adapt the workout to meet their specific goals. Pilates mat classes provide variety, challenge, and support for the body through the use of the small barrel and other props.
In both types of classes, stability of the spine, pelvis, and shoulder girdle is created through hundreds of core-focused exercises. After regular practice, you will discover more efficient movement through whole body re-alignment, strength, and balance.
