The ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE is recognized as one the most effective ways to change negative habitual patterns of movement, posture, and function. It is a technique that teaches us how to use our bodies with greater awareness(through the mind) and gentle hands-on guidance connecting us to our bodies natural intelligence. Over time we learn how to inhibit or Not Do habitual patterns of unconscious movement that has been causing dysfunction to show up as pain somewhere in our bodies. This unique process of self-management, where we can simply and effectively modify our very own muscular responses to stress, pain, and discomfort and actually carry out better use of ourselves at will, begins in the mind but shows up as greater consciousness in the bodies' daily movement.
