Shifting the Paradigm: Neurocentric Movement Education

This comprehensive curriculum consists of eight seminars,  including 200 face-to-face workshops and classes, plus 310+ additional self-paced hours.

Centerline's program strives to shift the paradigm in movement education toward an approach that emphasizes the powerful change that can occur by using applied neurology when coaching movement. Here's how + why this Pilates Teacher Training is different :

  • it's neuro-centric: includes information and tools you need to efficiently help yourself + others create neuroplastic change
  • this program has a foundation in movement education for rest + recovery, the science of strength + mobility, the anatomy of movement, efficient movement principles, and client program design
  • it includes a comprehensive pilates curriculum, grounded in historical context, including the why + how of each exercise. it covers matwork + equipment, including props and sensory tools to decrease sensory mismatch and improve motor skills
  • it focuses on mentorship: like Centerline's Philosophy, this curriculum is designed to meet you where you are, facilitate and empower self growth, develop your strengths, and help you apply your new skills in fulfilling ways

​​I discovered Pilates, Gyrotonic®, Z-Health Performance®, and Restorative Movement® during my journey of healing auto-immune disease. I credit my movement practice to renewed strength, function, and freedom from pain. 

Twenty years since beginning to practice Pilates, movement practice is still home for me, and where I go when I'm seeking relief from pain, a sense of optimism, and to ground myself in place.

Teacher Training and Movement Education is moving, meaningful work. From the get go, we'll be develop ways to best care for ourselves, while meeting each person in the cohort where they are at, just as we'll eventually do for clients. 

In addition to building a self-care toolbox, this program is all about skill building, starting with foundational concepts and then mapping routes to greater capacity + ability, for movement and for life.

I hope the curriculum stokes the passion you already have for Pilates, establishes healthy self-practice habits, and makes you even more curious about the incredible world of movement. We'll cover practical ways you can ensure you'll be doing Pilates - how and when you want - for life!
