PILATES DECONSTRUCTED®

toolbox for your reformer classes
with trina altman

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2018
open to movement educators and curious Pilates students
Master teachers know that conveying concepts—not just repertoire—in a group reformer class is what truly sets them apart from novice instructors. Concepts keep clients coming back for more. In this workshop, you'll learn how to sequence reformer classes by teaching preparatory movement skills that are a microcosm of more complicated exercises.
In this day-long intensive, you'll learn where and when in a class to add, stir, chop, and mix:
  • Building blocks for the 'peak' exercise
  • Demos for visual learners
  • Opportunities for palpating the teacher during a demo
  • The 'a-ha' lightbulb learning moments they crave
You'll go home with template handouts detailing the exercises from each one-hour class so you can teach them to your students.

More importantly, you'll acquire the analytical skills to acknowledge the beauty in the 'bits and pieces' of any and all complex movement patterns while deepening your understanding of the body.
