After graduating from college, I sought out a personal trainer to help me develop as an athlete. I was expecting to go in and lift heavy objects. Period. Instead, the trainer—who was a Z-Health Performance® Coach—posed this question to me: “What if we worked on your vision to make you faster at your sport? The more quickly you can see something, the more quickly you can make a decision.”
This was a profound shift in thinking for me. It had not occurred to me that this was was something that could be trained. Fascinated with the modality, I quit my job in software, moved to Phoenix to study Z-Health® full-time, became a neuro-performance coach. I haven't looked back. Z-Health® is not only for athletes. The potential audience is far more universal. Z-Health® Performance Coaching has the power to also help people in chronic pain, using training fundamentals that have yet to be well-integrated in the movement industry. Most practitioners and coaches focus on the 'output'—be it pain or performance. What's distinctive about my approach is that I take a step back and ask: “What about the 'inputs'?” I care deeply about the variables and experiences that may impact your optimal wellness. Together, we'll work to find new inputs that may dramatically impact your quality of life. My clients describe my style as focused, individualized, outside-the-box. I'm determined to find the best results, and I won’t settle for 'just okay'. |
ABOUT MY MODALITY
Z-Health Performance® is my primary modality. So, what is Z-Health? It's not a program or a one-size-fits-all. It's a vast toolkit built from many different disciplines. We may do visual drills that you'd find in a behavioral optometrists office, balance drills from a vestibular specialist, or breathing drills from a respiration expert.
After 10 years with Z-Health®, I’m focused on finishing the curriculum and becoming a Master Practitioner. Along the way, I seek to better understand any sport that a client-athlete competes in, as well as the daily demands of a client who comes to me with pain as their primary concern. Shout-out to all the moms and dads who play the most difficult sport!
