Unlike others forms of yoga, in Restorative Yoga, there is no goal of stretching or strengthening.
Enjoy 6 to 8 passive supported postures held for 10-15 minutes each, as you allow each breath to usher you to a deeper state of relaxation.
The practice of holding gentle postures that require no physical effort might seem counter-intuitive, but you'll be surprised at the state of deep relaxation you can reach when you place your body in the right conditions.
When you are in passive postures supported by props, using no muscular effort, the focus is on releasing the grip of muscular holding and inner tension, so you can feel more spacious, receptive and at ease.
